iCloud Mail and ROXI: Customer Support for Apple-Based Businesses
Explore a responsible path to connecting iCloud Mail with ROXI, including Apple authentication, privacy, and knowledge-grounded email assistance.

Why businesses use iCloud Mail
A small business may already receive customer inquiries through an iCloud address or a custom-domain mailbox managed with Apple's service. Switching addresses can disrupt existing customers, so an integration should help the business keep its established identity. ROXI's proposed approach is to collect permitted support messages in an organized workspace, preserve conversation history, and assist with consistent replies based on approved company information. iCloud Mail is a planned ROXI channel, not a live integration.
Apple-supported mailbox access
Unlike the Google OAuth experience, traditional iCloud Mail access through third-party email applications commonly relies on IMAP and SMTP with an app-specific password when supported by the account. A ROXI implementation must validate the applicable Apple requirements, use encrypted transport, protect credentials at rest, and support easy revocation. Customers should not be asked to disclose their Apple Account password or two-factor authentication codes. ROXI must not promise a universal one-click login until the actual supported connection flow is established.
From incoming email to a useful response
Once authorized access and synchronization are working, ROXI could classify routine questions, retrieve approved business FAQs, and suggest replies in the original email thread. If a customer asks about a particular order, the assistant would need a separate authorized commerce connection and identity verification before discussing private details. Human review should remain available for uncertain, sensitive, or high-impact requests. A draft in the dashboard is not proof that an email was sent or delivered.
A simple and safe setup experience
The intended setup is a guided connection that explains only the steps Apple actually requires, confirms that the mailbox belongs to the business, and tests receipt before enabling AI assistance. The owner should be able to see connection health, pause synchronization, and disconnect. While development continues, businesses can prepare their Knowledge Base and test the assistant using sample customer questions.
